Photography by Kritika on 26th Feb 2021 (Friday)

the wait, the silence,
in between the announcements
the ticking arms of the hanging clock
recording millions of stories
of the moments which pass

and Me

solo travelling to celebrate the day
I entered in the world unknown

  1. The imagery in this poem is such that it carries the reader into the scene and what you see and observe in the metro station, the reader feels that they too are in the metro station seeing and observing what you see and observe.

    Very well done. πŸ™‚

  2. A gorgeous poem, Kritika! ❀ I love both the poem and the photo. You captured the moment so well! We rode the Metro to many adventures when I lived in DC for seven years. Your lovely poem brought back some wonderful memories. πŸ™‚ Happy belated birthday! Glad you had a good time. ❀ Many more happy birthdays to you!

    1. That is superb that my words made you happy and brought back wonderful memories. I am delighted. Thank you so much kindly for the wishes. (Hearts)
Thank you for appreciating my words too πŸ™‚ (hug)

  3. I read this and the words made me think of the birth process. It wasn’t until I read the comments that I found out it was your birthday!! Hope you celebrated in style! The poem is perfection and the photo is beautiful – but I’m a sucker for black & white photography!

This was the second time I used the filter while taking a photograph. Black and White looks so perfect but when it comes to taking a photo, I think I too suck at it. πŸ˜›

    1. Thank you so much Anisha πŸ™‚ (Heart) It was a great day indeed. I like roaming via metro. πŸ˜‰ Only when it is empty. πŸ˜€
Glad you enjoyed the post. Thank you πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
